FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Danae Bennett-Miller Represented by High Desert Gallery
Sisters Oregon - January 6, 2007 – High Desert Gallery & Custom Framing, with two locations in Central Oregon, is proud to announce the representation of nationally recognized Central Oregon artist, Danae Bennett-Miller.
Danae, a long time Central Oregon Artist has several larger bronzes located in public areas of Central Oregon including “Bueno, Homage to the Buckaroo” a larger-than-life sized bronze horse traversing a rock trail. The bronze is part of Bend, Oregon’s Art in Public Places commitment to diverse artwork in roundabout roadways. “Bueno,” stands at the Roundabout at Newport Avenue and 14th Streets in downtown Bend, Oregon. Additionally, “Dancing for Flossie,” a pair of cranes is located at the corner of Minnesota where it intersects with Lava Street in historic downtown Bend, Oregon.
Danae Bennett-Miller, a featured Oregon Public Broadcasting "Oregon Art Beat" artist,
uses the medium of lost-wax casting as she conjures life and motion out of once fluid ripples and flows. Like watching lava give birth to land, her pieces create their own virtual space, and ask us to ponder our world through a different pair of eyes. Some public in scale, some intimate, form and substance give way to emotion, movement and animal consciousness. Witness one of her pieces in person, and experience a link to the world beyond normal human existence.
High Desert Gallery is honored to represent Danae Bennett-Miller’s work exclusively in Central Oregon and release a limited edition bronze of “Bueno, Homage to the Buckaroo.” The just released edition of 35 bronzes measures 16" tall, 15" long and 10" in depth.
