'Walk The Art Beat' with Patrick Horsley & Bellavia -- Redmond Oregon

The Redmond Downtown Partnership (RDP) is sponsoring the first of four “Walk the Art Beat”, community art events on  Friday, April 25, 2008 from 5-8pm.  Come celebrate art, wine and entertainment throughout Downtown Redmond Oregon.   RDP will be highlighting student art and a special preview of the photography work from students in the Caldera program.

At High Desert Gallery and Custom Framing of Central Oregon we will host internationally known potter, Patrick Horsley.  This is a great opportunity to meet Patrick Horsley, enjoy live music by Bellavia, refreshments and great new fine pottery by Patrick.  The event is free and open to the public.

Bellavia, a Central Oregon jazz and blues band, offering great musical diversity from Norah Jones to Miles Davis, from Robert Johnson to Hoagy Carmichael will perform at High Desert Art Gallery.  Bellavia are great performers and please stop by the gallery to listen to the music, talk with Patrick and view some great fine art.  Refreshments will be served.

Patrick Horsley Represented by High Desert Gallery
                        
Sisters Oregon - May 10, 2006 – High Desert Gallery & Custom Framing, with two locations in Central Oregon, is proud to announce the representation of nationally recognized Oregon artist,  Patrick Horsley.  Patrick, a studio potter, is recognized throughout America with work exhibited in many galleries and collected by numerous corporations, select museums and private collectors.  His artwork is strongly influenced by architecture, both primitive and contemporary with most of the work being decorative as opposed to utilitarian.  Teapots, a special interest of Patrick, have evolved into signature pieces, which are included in many collections throughout the world.

Patrick remarks, “The challenge of my work is to combine the many elements (handles, feet, spouts and lids) into a work that dances and presents a new view and image of a familiar form.  My primary interest is in the process and the physical dance of making the pots.”

Patrick Horsley’s work will be featured at High Desert Gallery in Redmond and Sisters during the month of June.  An Open House and Pottery Sale will be highlighted on Saturday, June 17, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM.  Refreshments, good conversation and great art will be served.  High Desert Gallery’s Open House coincides with the 15th Annual Sisters Art Stroll sponsored by the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce.
